I'm sharing my terrible online shopping experience as a cautionary tale. My family and I have depended upon Shreve for all of our special occasion jewelry needs for decades, so I was profoundly concerned that the SF location had shut down. Finding clear information online, or guidance on alternative stores, was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling neglected. While I eventually received excellent service from Erik at the Stanford location, who will become our go-to resource for our needs, and I'm looking forward to the Rolex boutique opening, the initial online struggle was unacceptable. This ordeal compelled me to leave a review and engage with customer service for clarity.
Customer: Hi, I'm calling because I'm really upset about the situation with your SF location. I was concerned that the SF location had shut down, and honestly, trying to find information about this online was an absolute nightmare. Your website wasn't clear at all. The San Francisco location did indeed close. We made announcements, but clearly, our online presence wasn't as effective as it should have been for all our valued customers. We are actively working to improve our digital communications. Customer: So, it's gone then? And what about my records or past purchases? Where am I supposed to go now? I just wanted to buy a gift and this has turned into a huge headache. CS Rep: Yes, the SF location is no longer open. However, please be assured that all customer records and purchase history are securely maintained across our system. Our Stanford location, where Erik is, for example, is fully equipped to assist you. Many of our SF clients have been transitioning there and have received excellent service.
