I'm sharing this as a cautionary tale about my recent online experience with Shreve & Co. It started with an attempt to connect with a trusted associate, but quickly became a frustrating ordeal that I hope others can avoid. We’ve been loyal customers for a while, and Miguel was always the star who helped us with our previous purchase. So, when we decided to shop again, we naturally tried to reach out to him online, expecting to pick up where we left off. It was a complete letdown to discover, only after we reached out to the store, that he is no longer there. This lack of upfront information about such a significant change was incredibly disappointing and made me feel undervalued as a returning customer. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage with customer service to express my concern and seek clarification on how such vital information could be so difficult to ascertain for repeat clients.

Customer: Hello, I'm calling about an issue I had trying to reach someone specific at your Palo Alto location. CS Rep: Certainly, I can help you with that. What seems to be the problem? Customer: Well, we've shopped with you before, and Miguel was our go-to person. He was fantastic. We tried to get in touch with him again for a new purchase, but it was incredibly difficult to find out he's no longer there. Why wasn't that information more readily available? It was genuinely disappointing to discover after trying to connect. CS Rep: I completely understand your frustration. It's certainly not the experience we want for our valued returning clients. We truly apologize for the lack of clear communication regarding Miguel's departure. We recognize how important those relationships are. Customer: It just feels like such a basic thing to communicate, especially for customers who specifically ask for someone by name. It wasted our time and was quite a letdown. Is there someone else who can provide the same level of expertise and personal service? CS Rep: Your feedback is absolutely valid, and we're taking it very seriously. We're truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused. We do have other exceptional team members who are equally dedicated to providing outstanding service.
